July 28, 2007 It's back to school time! Camp went very well, and it appears that we have all recovered from the trip. We had a great time learning about hip hop and touring around Atlanta. In other neighborhood news, Marshall & his GUPY students are currently finishing up a short-term mission trip to Mexico, the community garden is growing an amazing amount of produce, and the neighborhood kids are starting to buzz about the new school year. June 18, 2007 Camp is less than one week away!! The Lord has provided in very real ways -- the gap in our budget is quickly being filled, the kids are all very excited and are fulfilling their responsibilities, and we have our schedule nailed down (almost). We held a car wash at Chick-fil-a on Friendly on June 9th and a bake sale at Grace on June 10th, where the kids raised almost $600! Please be praying for us as we jump into camp!
May 21, 2007 These are busy times for folks in Glenwood. Although tutoring has ended, the neighborhood garden is going full force (stop by Steeleman Park and see what's growing!), Marshall is preparing to welcome 11 college students into the summer GUPY program, and preparations are in progress for our middle/high school summer camp. Please continue to pray for and with us through this busy summer season!
March 31, 2007 After feedback from a handful of friends, the Glenwood Community Ministries website has been redesigned. The content is still the same (plus a little more, of course), but hopefully it will be a little more friendly to navigate. Stay tuned for more updates to come!
