 Ministry in Glenwood started several years ago with the relocation of Grace Community Church into the neighborhood in 1995. Grace moved into Glenwood with the purpose of serving and loving the residents of the community. Not long thereafter, members of the church began moving into the neighborhood. The idea of simply driving in on Sunday and then driving back home didn't sit well with several people, and thus ministry in Glenwood started. While we moved into Glenwood on purpose, we did not move in to achieve a certain set of goals. Rather, we wanted to become a part of a vibrant community, learn what it means to love our neighbor (because let's face it, most people in middle-class suburbs barely know their neighbors), and play whatever role we were given in the restoration of our neighborhood. These roles are displayed in the various ministries that have been started.
