Greensboro Urban Project Y'all ('cause GUP just isn't that cool...)

GUPY is a 6-week Urban Ministry project sponsored by InterVarsity Christian Fellowship that began in July 2004. It occurs during the summer and is open to college students. Students live in the Glenwood neighborhood for the duration of the project and complete internships with various aid organizations in Greensboro and become an active part of the community. They spend time exploring what the Bible says about God's heart for the poor, and how that applies to their lives today. After serving in Greensboro, the students go on a short overseas mission trip to gain a better understanding of global poverty. Last year's group visited YWAM's Puerto Plata base in the Dominican Republic. For more information, please visit the official GUPY website, http://www.gupy.org.
